Shanghai – a hub of energy and pulsating life. A place where the high-tech cityscape coexists with traditional Chinese culture. PIJIU, a photo publication, explores everyday life in Shanghai, capturing the city's vibrant energy, diversity, and its inhabitants' stories. By combining analog and heavily transformed digital photographs, PIJIU showcases the city's unique and contrasting features. Analog photos evoke a sense of nostalgia and authenticity, highlighting Shanghai's traditional character, while the digitally enhanced ones emphasize the city's high-tech and modern side.
